An impressive Victorian oak pedestal dressing table, dating to circa 1880, displaying attractive Gothic Revival detailing and a warm, rich colour throughout.
The raised superstructure features a tall, pointed arch dressing mirror within a moulded oak frame, flanked by decorative Gothic carved uprights with pierced quatrefoil panels, foliate ornament and architectural finials.
Beneath the mirror are three drawers, fitted with decorative brass ring handles, providing convenient storage for smaller accessories.
The generously proportioned dressing table has a moulded top above a further arrangement of three drawers, retaining decorative metal ring handles and key escutcheons. The two pedestal cupboards feature diagonally panelled doors with carved detailing, opening to reveal three additional drawers within each pedestal, fitted with recessed brass handles.
The whole stands on shaped plinth bases, completing the substantial and architectural appearance.
