About this piece
William IV Flame Mahogany Circular Breakfast Table
A fine William IV flame mahogany circular breakfast table, dating from the early 19th century, with a beautifully figured tilt-top and elegant pedestal base. The circular top displays particularly striking flame mahogany veneers arranged in a radiating pattern, giving the piece a rich and decorative appearance. The table is raised on a tapered central column, standing on a triform base with finely carved scroll feet, which gives it a strong yet graceful presence.
This is a highly attractive and practical antique table, ideal for use as a breakfast table, centre table or occasional dining table. The top tilts for ease of storage when not in use, while the overall proportions make it a very versatile piece for a traditional or period interior. It has excellent colour, pleasing patina and strong decorative appeal throughout.
